BS/MS Programs Description and Application
Application forms for the BS/MS program are available in the CSE Dean's Office
(Glennan 312).
Minimum GPA for admission to the BS/MS program is 3.0 (see
CWRU General Bulletin
).
Applications to the BS/MS program must include an approved Program of
Study. The Program of Study must list the courses
(research and classes) that will be counted for the MS degree (28 credit
hours in Chemical Engineering) and must also indicate the courses that
will be double-counted for the BS and MS degrees (9 credit hours).
After consulting with their advisor, students should return completed applications
to the CSE Dean's Office. The applications will be forwarded to the
Department for a recommendation about admission to the BS/MS program.
The CSE Dean's Office will write the official letter of admission
or rejection to the student applicant.
Applications to the BS/MS program are normally due in the sixth semester
of the BS program (usually the Spring term of the junior year).
In no cases can BS/MS applications be approved after the student has completed
all requirements for the BS degree.
