This laboratory is a facility for both instructional and research use.
Small-scale models made of different materials (steel, concrete, wood,
plastic) are tested to study the response of the prototype structural elements
and/or assemblies. It is equipped with four 42-inch by 72-inch steel testing
tables and aluminum reaction frames and a series of portable strain indicators
and companion switch and balance units.
