Primary Research Interests
- Structural Dynamics
- Occupant Induced Floor Vibrations
- Earthquake Engineering
- Bridge Engineering / Bridge Durability
- Connection Performance in Bridge Structures
Funded projects have been in the areas of the seismic performance of structures, numerical methods in structural dynamics,
field monitoring of bridge performance, and laboratory investigations of bridge joint performance. Funding sources have
included federal and state agencies, as well as industries. Two ODOT funded projects relating to in-situ bridge evaluation
and the improvement of bridge durability were recently concluded, involving both field and laboratory instrumentation of
bridge structures and components, as well as finite element studies of bridge joint details.
