EXAMPLE OF SIMULATING A REAL EARTHQUAKE MOTION
Assuming that the model is subjected to a 50 g centrifugal acceleration and we want to simulate a real earthquake motion, which has a peak acceleration of 0.2 g , a duration of 60 sec, and a frequency content up to 6 Hz .
The model has to be subjected to an excitation which has a peak acceleration of 10g, a duration of 1.2 sec. and a frequency content up to 300Hz.
