CWRU Laminar Box
It is designed to permit the soil to deform with minimal interference in one dimensional shear tests.
It consists of 13 rectangular Aluminum rings ( the top ring is fixed) of 21 x 9.5x 7 in., 3700 antifriction bearings are used to minimize friction.
Max. displacement: 0.75 in.
End & side supports: 4 end supports and 6 side supports.
